Wisdom Wednesday Black History Month: Our Troubled Teens

Wisdom Wednesday are thoughts for social conversations and sharing our honest opinions, ideals and Wisdom. All of us have a value worth sharing; it may motivate another to stop, continue and/ or begin a certain process in their personal or social development.

Our Troubled Teens

So often we see those teenagers at the Metro, in our neighborhoods or while shopping and wonder what's wrong here. This month is Black Month History and helping a teen in your life, neighborhood and most likely at home in most cases will make a long term difference (everyday not just BHM). Simply before a history lesson; teach them about themselves and how valuable they are.

Most teens are crying out for "help", but the adults in their lives are:

• too busy working
• on the same maturity level as they are
• a person's mental capacity is suppressed by today's times
• or locked away from it all on Facebook.

In the non profit world, attaching percentages to issues describe its complexity. It's no need in doing so here because the problem is so "Obvious." Our teens is facing an unseen force that works on their dignity, little by little, destroying the little we have to present.

In closing, true a lot of teens may seem beyond reach - but help the one that wants to listen. These young people are right under our radar they like our sons, daughters, relatives and neighbors. Tell them, "Diamonds are born under pressure and you are a jewel."
