Every Thursday with the idea of Failing?

"Every Thursday" will feature people of creativity and/or ideas of leadership throughout their work.

As we tweeted earlier, this week's Every Thursday is about failing.  "Nothing beats a fail, but a try." Each attempt at following your vision, are steps of progress. Consequently, you're physically and mentally moving away from being an amateur; now you are beginning to master your craft. It is this mastery that will make you, a cut above any competition and/or opposition.

A Failure should ignite one's intellect to think deeper, cover more of a broad territory and strive more strategically to re-invent themselves. Patience, Perseverance and Prayer will balance a person's low moments; and shield the heart, mind and soul while navigating within different social networks.

Watch and Listen to the narration of  this video called, "Famous Failures." It will highlight the intention of several narratives. Hopefully it will motivate us into next steps of our own intentions....

  1. I personally don't like to use the word "fail" because it implies you got nothing out of the situation, when every experience should teach a person something. Anyway, people fail or fall short of things all the time, but the challenge is when it is something very near and personal like, failing to to be there to raise your kids, or failing to reach your life long goals, or failing in a marriage. How do you deal with that kind of "failure". What I can appreciate about the video is that those so called failures is actually what can make a typical achievement become a ground breaking acheivement. That person tends to be more wholistic and balanced in his/her life expereince and can offer more. That person can now enrich other peoples lives and become a source of motivation for them. But all of this was birthed through a persons "failure".

It's funny because our nation suffers from so much depression and sadness because of our "failures", or what our society views as failures, but in reality, we have only failed once we give up hope that we can always do better. We have way to many examples of this, not only with celebrities, but in our own lives. All we have to do is remember all the things we have done right and start from there.

    2. Yes! And for many people, failures can also be wake-up calls or turning points in their quest to achieve what they were put on the earth to do... u know... their "mission"

    3. On my path, I have been given some wake up calls in which the alarm is still ringing. It is a never ending story for learning and adjusting

  2. Call me corney, but I LOVED the video.

Actually it stuck a really deep cord with me because I am a "dreamer" I'm one of those people that has a very hard time embarking on "normal" pursuits because if my hearts not in it, I just can't focus. Pray for me, because I will continue to chase my dreams and pray it is not in vain...

But Allah has blessed with with a pretty clear vision of the path I should be on, it just the obstacles along the way... hmmmm. Anyway, thanks for the post :))

  4. What I always try to remember is that the designation of something as "failure" is only really an assessment at a point in time. If you are still in the game, still trying, still rising to the challenge, then by definition you haven't failed. You just haven't reached your goal...yet

    1. I know this person by the name Wisdom, who encourages me to listen to her, to keep me from experiencing hurt, & pain. Wisdom has already been there and done that or herself!! So YES Experience is A good teacher but Wisdom has paved our way to choose a different Experience. I've learned being afraid to try something new sometimes isn't such a bad idea. Enjoyed the video!!!
