Community Organize: Will you make one call?

Will you make one phone call today to help keep the push for citizenship on track?

On Tuesday morning, the House Judiciary Committee will hold its first hearing on immigration. This is an important moment. Help us tell the committee chairman, U.S. Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), that people of faith are deeply committed to real immigration reform that prioritizes citizenship and family unity and that we will be watching - and praying.

Chairman Goodlatte is a key player in the legislative fight in Congress. He needs to know that we will not accept an immigration reform bill that does not include a viable roadmap to citizenship for our country's 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Last week, President Obama presented his immigration proposal, which includes a roadmap to citizenship. We also heard from key members of the U.S. Senate who released their own framework for immigration, which also outlines citizenship as an element. Tomorrow is the day the House of Representatives enters the conversation.

Let's make sure Chairman Goodlatte walks into tomorrow's hearing knowing that people of faith are organizing for real reform that prioritizes citizenship and keeps families together.

Peace and Blessings,
Minister Zachary Hoover
