Wisdom Wednesday... Showing Gratitude

It has been a minute since I last said, "Thank you!" I created this space for a number of reasons. Mainly to Create-A-Voice for urban thought, issues and conversations that are relevant for everyday people.

/grat-i-tude/ (Noun) "The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness."

I have witnessed and felt, a lot over the past few years. The one thing I have learned more about is "Gratitude." Saying, Please and Thank you, will take a person a long way. Just acknowledging your presence here on Create-A-Voice, makes me thankful for all the returns visits (ignoring my typos) and the numbers, that's keeping me motivated for building a team.

Today's Wisdom Wednesday blog-ver-sa-tion, is just this - thoughts I have been pondering to myself. I would like to share some of these thoughts.

Recently we have seen...

• Republican National Convention?
• Democratic National Convention!?
• An uprise, behind a film of anti-semantic content!?!
• and #PeopleHelpingHelping to resolve, educate and express their desire for peace :-)

I have mentioned this before, the past 13-12 years the American people have been under mental and physical hardships. Foreclosures, Unemployment, Violence, War, Divorce, Religious Indifference, not to mention the Occupy Movements (which is not a bad thing, just something different).

For the Most part I'm simply grateful. Because, the before mentioned is causing dialogue between groups and people. The old cliche, "I do not discuss, religion and/or politics" can no longer be an excuse. America, we have evaded this type discussion for so long, it's presence needs our attention and input.

American people are rediscovering their spiritual sense on many levels. It has been the only pillow for comfort, no group or person can take away. The Creator has downloaded His remembrance into hearts and this program, has given comfort to many families and individuals through public and personal hardships.

In rebuilding this country's moral standard, developing a new belief system, embracing its diversity and creating equal but available opportunity without bias - is our struggle to bring about good. If we're to remain an ingrate, then nothing will change. We are facing a new epoch, a paradigm shift for new safe spaces of growth and development, empowering - people to help people.

Prepare yourself to have difficult conversations, and remain having patience to reach its reward and goodness. Having these talks should open a new mind frame of thinking, for building peace and that's why I am grateful.
